Linksys WRT1900ACS Dual Band AC1900 Gigabit Smart Wi-Fi Router - does anyone have this?

Does anyone have this, is it worth buying? There is the Llinksys WRT3200ACM-UK MU-MIMO eSATA/USB 3.0 Gigabit Wi-Fi Router with Open Source which is about £50 more. I don't need it for anything specific, just wanted to get a decent router.

Yeah i will be on a basic setup, just want to be able to have access to something that i can do alot with if needed. I did look at some similiar ASUS versions but they had really poor reviews. hmm.

Get the orbi kit and be done with it. Amazing coverage and speed.

Bear in mind that is a router only, you'll need an additional box acting as a modem to use it for an internet connection.

I'd look at an all in one box myself like the TP link VR900, Asus DSL-AC68U or Netgear D7000.

It would be more cost effective to get an all in one, i will look into those suggestions thanks. The orbi looks amazing but don't think i can justify the £400 price tag.

On a tangential of topic note -

Can anyone suggest a combined DSL modem router that also has a VPN installed on it for privacy.

We currently have a standard DSL EE broadband router.
The idea being - is this better than having individual VPN software on the devices we use to connect to the Internet (Windows computers, Android mobiles and tablets)
    Thx
