    Lloyds TSB overdraft charges

So I am exactly 1p overdrawn, I paid off my ebay fees about a week ago and assumed it had gone through so took a tenner out on monday, turns out it hadnt and £6.05 was taken out of my account when it only had £6.04 in it.

Are they seriously going to charge me a fee for being 1p overdrawn? its extortionate, last time I went overdrawn I ended up having to pay over £30.

Ohhh yes!! You can phone up and argue with them and they may cancel the charge...

    Yup.

What annoys me about lloyds TSB is they send a letter to tell you its overdrawn.. which takes a couple of days and they charge you per day. Only when i moaned about that did they tell me that there is a text sevice where they will text you when you go overdrawn!

Usually accounts have a buffer of at least £1

that really does take the wii if they don't refund it.
    Hope they go "under"
    robbing so and so's

I hope so, could probably have guessed by the fact I went overdrawn but I cant really afford to pay £15

first time overdrawn they let you off if you call up

think yourself lucky you dont bank with barclays!! they charge £30 per day for a maximum of 3 days. then they said you could have a reserve tank didnt tell you it cost £22!!! robbing scunthorpes

Well said - even longer over Xmas/New Year

    Thanks for the info. Titchimp

barclays only charge if you dont have the money in by the end of the day that u go overdrawn.

uswitch.com/new…msx I take it back. I'd switch accounts if they charge you, that would be ridiculous.

If it's first time, phone them up and you won't get charged, as already said...

happened to me couple year ago, they took 38+20 (overdraft on overdraft!!) but got about 25 off em. tell (most likely a n00b on caffeine high) you gonna leave, failing that you wanna speak to the boss. it usually works but for 1p, i'd leave if they charged anything. HSBC is the best imo, been with enron (similiar woes), lloyds tsb (they're flogging a dead horse . .) and now with HSBC - quality IB/TB and phone support

    Terms and Conditions dude!

    toytown back anywho

they did that to me i went 6p overdrawn and wanted to charge me £21, i rang them up and they said that they could not do anything.

So I then asked what i needed to do to claim back the charges, and make a complaint. All of a sudden they removed the charge.

    You could try that

    Did the item get retured?
If it was not returned then do not worry.
Lloydstsb have a buffer of £9.99 to let you go overdrawn with no charges

get an agreed overdraft on your account, for things like this, i have always had one on my accounts, never used it but its there to stop this kinda stuff happening, its costs you in phonecalls if nothing else
