London outskirts parking then tube in.... advice

got to come down to London for a weekend...my car isnt new enough to beat the ulez , where would be best for me to park and tube in....
I'm coming from the north down the M1 and have to get to Highbury/Islington....
don't mind the tube but dont know the area well enough to figure out cheap parking and tube station or the lines I need
