Taking my two sons (age 12 & 16) to London for a couple of days next week, thinking of taking them to a show, maybe Charlie and The Chocolate Factory or similar?

Any recommendations and is it cheaper to get tickets in London or on-line?

We got tickets in London from a kiosk beside the tower of London. Charlie and the chocolate was great have also seen dirty dancing and we will rock you. Lots of shows on all the time but the chocolate factory was well worth seeing

How much from the kiosk & were they good seats?

Take a look at Get into London Theatre (GILT). Their webpage details what shows are on, there are some discounted tickets and you can book in advance. They have a family theatre section. Some bank account packages also include getting theatre tickets at discounted prices too.

This link can be used by Non Merlin pass holders. 1 child goes free with every paying adult and the second child goes half price.

That would have been fantastic! but it doesn't work on half-term dates unfortunately, gutted

If you are going by train you can also get 2for1 offers on some places and attractions in London.

Got good seats but they can be limited just depends on what's available they were cheaper because all the theatres want all seats filled most tickets are for that day or the next. didn't get for we will rock you one day but got for the next night. oh and most of them are for week day showings

We went a few months ago they weren't any cheaper at the kiosks during the school holidays to we rang the theatre direct and for the cheaper there than all the online sites that sell them, don't buy online without calling first .. £40 cheaper ringing
