    Hi guys,

Recently bought some leather sofas and looking for a good wax/polish/cream to care for them and keep them like new. Can anyone recommend any products that they use?

    Thanks

I clean mine with baby wipes.

There are lot's of leather cleaners in the £1 shops.

We've had ours for approx 10 years now and still looks as good as new. We've had babies and young children all over them, sick, leaky nappies, food, drink etc etc and its cleaned fine. As above we use baby wipes and then every few months give it a good clean with a leather conditioner. We were always told to treat it like skin and moisturise it!
One tip: If you get biro on it, spray some hairspray and that will get it off!

I use baby wipes too - more effective and smell nicer, but test them on an inconspicuous patch first.

i am no expert but it seems to me using baby wipes would be one of the worst things you could use. They will destroy the finish on ur sofa over time.
Leather sofas need looking after especially the bits that see a lot of use and sunlight.
Check amazon out for leather care kits cost around £10 thats what i use every 3 months (or when i remember)

Baby wipes dry the Leather out over a period of time, the same as the other household cleaning products would, i would say Get some Glycerin Leather & Saddle Soap, The glycerin conditions the leather & it has a lovely fresh smell to it, look on ebay (Item number: 310235043482) There is loads of other types but basically you need something along the lines of this

this is why I'd never buy a second hand sofa !!

Depends on the type of leather really, my parents use a cleaning kit from ikea. I'd never use babywipes on mine as I cant get it wet! Have to use a nubuck cleaner

I would never buy a second hand sofa either but I can honestly say its as clean and new as the day we bought it. Its cream Italian leather and doesn't have the slightest stain, mark, rip or anything on it. Its amazing how long they last for!

Babywipes are the worst thing you can use if it's real leather, they dry the leather out and will eventually ruin it

I use baby wipes, but don't have to worry about drying it out. It doesn't get cleaned often enough X)
