Found 18th Jul 2011
FOUND A CAR AD ON AUTO TRADER WHICH IS BEING SOLD BY REPOSSESSIONS UK, IVE RANG UP ABOUT THE CAR AND HAVE BEEN TOLD IT DOESNT COME WITH TAX OR M.O.T AND NO LOG BOOK. THEY SAID THEY WILL M.O.T IT WITH A DEPOSIT.

DOES THIS LOOK SUSPICIOUS AND IS IT ILLEGAL?

On the face it seems like it may be legit, they own this site too which also claims to lease collectors cars to film/tv. http://www.car-transplants.co.uk/

A few things bother me though:
1) Why no V5? Obviously most repossesions are taken without the logbook as the previous keeper doesnt want to hand it over, BUT: If its legit why cant they apply themselves for it before sale?

2) there seem to be no reviews either good or bad

3) It seems nobody has heard of them before.

Why would they apply for a logbook after repo'ing the car? It just adds another owner whichay affect resale value

I'd be asking on who's behalf was it repo'd and contact them to ensure it was legit

And why should they pay to MOT it at their cost if it's going to sit with them for a few months until sold?
Just avoid them and buy from a reputable seller.
