If you wipe everything from the PC have you got the recover disks? else you're selling it without an OS which would put off a lot of potential buyers

Erm no.
I'd give you more than £200 for it. but I wouldn't want the monitor as I have one already haha.. feel free to put it up

I'll give you £200 for it

You might be able to get more than £200 for it. Having a quick look at eBuyer, most of their Intel Quad Core machines seem to start at about £400, though better processors to be fair. I'd say at least £250. If someone offered me that at £200 I'd buy straight away as it'd be a bargain.

Format your drives, wipe data completely. Use the recovery CD to do a clean install of Vista. If it comes with any bloatware such as Mcafee then use ]PC Decrapifier to remove it and sell a ready-to-use system.

Sell them separately, but you might want to consider offering a slight discount if monitor and PC are bought together, just cross-link both listings.

Am I right in thinking there is a new rule which says you can't list it for sale in FS/T for a full 7 days after this Misc thread is expired or something? Someone else mentioned that, but not sure if it's true...

If you intend to list this item within the FS/FT forum then you will have to wait until a period of 7 days have elapsed from the closure of this thread.

Whilst this may not be explicitly mentioned as a standalone rule, consideration will be given to doing so in the future.

Anyone wishing to list items for sale in the forum, but unsure of a guide price, should try other sources for this information. Past sales on hukd or various online auction sites would be a good starting point.

No offers to trade should be made in the Misc Forum.

You should have this thread locked then, as it's just been confirmed that you can't list it for sale until 7 days after this thread has been locked. Press the report button

Yep, me too, and a lot of us complained about it in feedback. The rule is a great way of striking a balance imo. I wonder who thought of it, cause I didn't see it suggested on the feedback thread.
