Looking for a 55" TV

Found 6th Aug
I`ve been looking for a decent 55" TV, The best what I found was Samsung UE55MU7000 which atm is just absurdly expensive. Im wondering if any of you can recommend something else. Im thinking about spending up to 600 pounds.

Check out avforums.com for reviews but the Hisense 55U7A seems to be rated as good value for money available within your price range.
I actually have one of those TV’s, how much are you seeing them for? I paid £650. Look for ex display ones with a 5 year warranty.

It’s an amazing TV as it goes, the picture quality is phenomenal.

I read its brilliant and often recommend as of of the best TVs under a 1000 pounds. The cheapest I found costs nearly 800 with just 12 month warranty ://

Thanks, I`ll take a look.
The Hisense 55U7A look great
I have that Samsung one too paid £550 with a voucher like a month ago
I got the MU700 for £650 from JL, week or so later they discontinued it, but it's a fab set... Richer sounds do this for £649 with 6 year gurantee, I think it's the new version of the MU7000?

You just missed all the good deals - they were up for at least a month, seems to have died down now.
My two pennies worth - do not buy Sony, absolutely rubbish operating system that is slow and very frustrating to use.
The tv is well worth the money

Are they on Android? Samsung's smart system is great and so simple to use, the little smart remote just adds to it

Yep - mine has crashed once already, had the remote stop functioning, and I can't do anything for 1 minute after switching it on.

Seems like I missed the best time to get one for a decent price.I was planning to get one during the prime day but I just was snowed under with work and didn't have a time for anything...
Yeah I know how annoying Sony's smart system is. My parents have one.

It has some good reviews. What about Hisense H55N6800 looks like it's a bit better and can bought for less than 600.

I have the N6800, the 55U7A is a newer model.

How long do you have it?Would you recommend it?
According to avforums.com/rev…870

55U7A seems inferior to N6800. Im not a TV specialist so I might not see something in 55U7A that makes him acutally better.

I have the 75" version and very happy.
I dont think there's much in it. The U7A I think is slightly brighter and has higher refresh rate. The stand and casing of TV also seems more sleek and updated.

Right, I`ll consider getting one of those 2.
This is the wrong time of year to be buying a TV, the 2017 models are largely out of stock by now and the 2018 ones haven't started dropping in price.

Also, Sony use multiple operating systems in different parts of their range, one of which (android) was only introduced in 2015. So be careful with comparing 'Sony' Smart TV systems.
I've not read reviews on this one, and it's £100 over of your budget but if it's anything like the mu7000, it's worth it if you can find the cash.
