Looking for a decent deal on a first DSLR camera,

Looking for good starter DSLR camers. Seems like i missed deal on Nikon from Currys/Argos. any advice on either Nikon/Canon would bee greatly appreciated.

take a look at the Sony HX400 or 400v very good reviews, little more expensive that standard, but reviews say its worth the money

there's lot of threads on here asking the same question. canon 1200D would be my choice as an informed canon user, however there's no definitive answer to this. personally i'd always advise people to stick to canon or nikon

however you do get £20 cashback so £270 including kit lens

what's your budget? there are additional accessories you may want to pick up with any remaining funds e.g. memory card, bag, batteries, cheap flash, tripod, remote trigger etc, and if you have £60-£80, the 50mm f1.8 lens.
anything beyond that is probably going to be determined by the type and style of photography you stumble into, as a landscape photographer will need different kit compared to a wedding photographer for example

Thanks for replying, £400ish. Just for partner, general stuff really. Keen amateur, so add stuff as we go along.
