Looking for a printer with low ink costs

Hey guys, i currently use a printer from the HP deskjet 1000 series but the ink costs like £15 for a replacement. I'm looking for an all-purpose printer ideally that has lower ink costs. I mainly print out black and white documents but if its cheap for color, I would go for it too. Hope someone can help me.

    Thanks

or there £3 I pay for black ink.recommended

Epsom good printers and cheap eBay ink

Cheap genuine ink = expensive to buy printer, or 3rd party which are usually OK, but sometimes you get a bad one that can damage the print head.

Look for an Epson that takes XXL refills, as they can work out to less than 1/2p per page for B&W.

Use the one at work.... doesn't get any cheaper than that :-)

Have you thought about getting a printer that takes hp instant ink? Bought one for my son and currently have 9 months free and as soon as you start running low on ink they send you a replacement cartridge. It's £1.99 for up to 50 sheets a month and then there are other pricing structures if you think you're going to print more.

hmm, 50 pages a month doesn't sound much, the cartridges are apparently smaller than the usual according to their website but for £1.99, it might be worth.

Think you read that wrong, the Simple Ink cartridges hold 2 to 3 times as much as the normal ones - I get them. One cartridge lasts a whole year.

A newer hp print with come with insta ink. You don't buy cartridges instead you pay a low monthly feethe bonus being the printer requests automatically when you are low.

Buy a cheap colour laser they are cheap and the toner never drys out. Dell or hp most use same engine in side.
