Perfect, thank you.
Why not use Google Fit? It won't be any less accurate than a cheap tracker.

I'll take a look. Thanks.
You won’t find an accurate step counting smartwatch for cheap. I have a versa 4 from a phone bundle and it is way overinflated with my steps. I have read posts highlighting the same issue with their fitbits or other smartwatches. Apparently apple watches are quite accurate.
To see which smartwatch you want. Have a budget and desired specs. Go through the old deals on hotukdeals for an idea of what is a good deal and owners advice. Check yt reviews + online reviews and you should be fine.
to estimate your steps. You can walk a distance and compare what your watch says to what you counted (average steps according to google). Then you can use your watch and know when it says 10k steps you’ve actually walked x amount of steps

Or a more "traditional" looking smart watch for £20
