Looking for holiday in Dorset by the sea

Our daughter is realllllly car sick so we can't really go anywhere once we arrive on holiday (i'll probably have to take her on the train and my wife can drive down with suitcases etc) so we're looking for somewhere that is right on the beach or within a very short walk that way she can enjoy herself all week playing by the sea without us having to drive places in the car. We've tried everywhere but most places are booked or too far away. Long shot I know but does anyone know of anything that might fit the bill?

    Thanks in advance

Have you looked around Weymouth? Don't know if you're looking at Hotels, B&Bs or Caravan Parks.

Edit. Somewhere with a train service that goes to Weymouth might be a good option as the station in Weymouth is only a couple of minutes walk away from the beach.

    ]Sandhills Holiday Park.

Have you tired ginger biscuits or a ginger sweet for car sickness.

My daughter was always travel sick until we used the wrist bands. Stopped it completely (don't know why they work though).

just a thought, if you want any local leaflets ect from the tourist info shop let me know i can pick you some up & post them to you.

you have possibly tried all this but I echo the wrsitbands suggestion (Seabands) - and also sitting in the middle of the backseat so that forward vision isn't interrupted (if your seat belts etc allow). If you are using a booster seat try not to use the very polystyrene ones (go for padding) as they can vibrate and make the problem worse!!!

That's very kind of you, not sure what to ask for, might ring them and see if they can suggest anything and might take you up on it, thank you :-D

Yes, we remove the front headrests when we take her out and it does make a little difference but not much unfortunately. Interesting about the car seats will investigate that.

Sorry for not replying for a long time, i posted at work and only just got back on, rep left for everyone, thanks for your help
