I'm looking at creating an innovative site, which I can't divulge too much info on incase someone tries to rip off the idea (it's tipped to be something very special) but I'm not too tech savvy, so I was hoping someone could help out on resolving site issues and web design.

I've already accumulated some people that will help out but I need some people that can help out in specific area as well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've replied to your PM..... but obviously need a little more detail for the specifics.

I have a few web design colleagues in different fields of design and languages etc who I could get info from plus I also do web hosting so may be able to help in that area. Any information would be treated in stricted confidence PM me if you want.

I am an Internet Architect for a well known ISP so could probably help with aspects of it, PM me if you are interested

I think if you name specific area your looking for people can get more of an idea regarding what your after, need any help with graphics I can spare some time.

my other half is an all rounder he can build sites do graphics admin all the stuff that goes with it and has already built a few for friends and learned them how to do it themselves as they go along and is currently looking for a new project

problem with that linw is that its kinda putting all your eggs in one basket, for all we know you could be anyone (Although I'm sure your a thoroughly trustworthy person) who could take this "winning idea" and make it your own - by distributing certain tasks out to different people nobody has a big enough piece of the puzzle to run away with this idea on their own, which leave OP in control of the project.

If you have an idea thats tipped to do very well my advice would be 'dont do it on the cheap' as it will never get off the ground. If you go to a reputable company to build the site they will sign a confidentiality document preventing them from divulging any information.

To be honest, the budgets not very big at the moment, as the majority of the money will be used for advertising to get it off the ground and once it's bigger, then I'm looking at doing regular updates.

I want the site to look pretty good, which I know I can do with the templates I'm purchasing but I'm worried incase something goes wrong and people aren't able to use the site as intended if something goes wrong.

thats ok no offense taken i myself dont know about these things but i know hubby does so maybe i wrote it up wrong anyway he just offered to help out maybe learn them how to do it using an example not their actual idea but he is totally trustworthy as people always come back when there is problems but up till that point they run it themselves once it is up and running

That's very good advice. If it really is that good an idea then you should consider approaching a bank for investment. Also make sure everyone involved signs a confidentiality agreement, it doesn't just have to be a company that this applies to, you can issue one to each person involved, sending one out by post and having them sign and return it. Good luck!
