Looking for quality meat to roast for Christmas dinner

Fancy some quality meat to roast for family Christmas this year, it will be to serve 14 people. Is it always better to buy from the local butcher? or are their online butchers that you can order from?

Looking for a pork shoulder, large chicken and a leg of lamb.

How soon do you normally need to order if buying from local butcher?

Thank in advance for any suggestions.

I think some butchers struggle with to many orders they can't fulfill. We had near miss with a rotten turkey that had gone off. I think some just can't keep it all refrigerated. I seen our local butcher buying turkeys and meats at tesco Christmas eve to make up the orders. He joked about before moaning it was more trouble than its worth. It's put me off butchers at Christmas so we buy from supermarkets now. Sorry butchers.

Do you have any local farm around?.
musclefood.com/ is good for meat

Pre order at your local butcher. They will fulfil if you have pre ordered.
