Looking to buy a compact SLR

Found 17th Jul 2010
I have around £300 to spare for a decent COMPACT SLR, not a massive thing.

I would preferably like the viewfinder to be LCD - so that I don't have to look through the lens (is this even possible on SLR's?)

I want to use it for mainly close-up Macro shots, ...and maybe Zoom at some stage but not that bothered.

I was looking at the Canon 1000D, but then I found it is a lens viewfinder- which I don't want...

Can anyone help me to find a decent camera and lens set-up,
pretty-please x

All slr's have 'through the lens' if you get one with liveview then you could just look at the lcd screen, although I'm not sure why you would prefer that!

If you want to mess around and look at the screen then stick to compacts. … If you want to mess around and look at the screen then stick to compacts. Also why get a compact slr lenses take up space. I have the 1000D it's a fantastic camera and has live they so you can use the screen, god knows why you would ever want to.
