Looking to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note, but which one?

I'm looking to buy a Samsung tablet specifically to use Allshare Cast but also want to be able to use it as an e-reader any ideas on which can do both? Also to mirror whats on the tablet to a smart tv do I then have to buy the allshare hub or will I be able to do this without? Not very good on this sort of thing but my son has been making rather load noises about being able to do this and thought I would sort it for Christmas thanks
