    Hi

So im looking to buy a new pc or perhaps build ones. How much am i looking to pay if i want the following specs?

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2220 2.4GHz 800FSB Socket 775 1MB L2 Cache OEM Processor for £83 of ebuyer

you could knock money off but not half, you could knock £120 off if you have XP, a hard drive a DVD drive already, but your not giving much away

Also you make it cheaper your getting back to the spec you already have

just upgrade your mb,cpu, ram and gfx hey prest 150 well spent

fix?, well the cpu you have is very power hungry only the latest high end cpus will demand as much power most will be a lot less.
The dell case is a standard atx so no need for new case or psu, the gfx card u have won't go on any new boards apart from one exception but hey even the cheapest midrange £30 gfx will perform as well now, and the ram will prob be ddr so u will need ddr2 at approx 25 per 2gb,, sorted.
As stated technically a new os would be in order but hey its amazing what you can get away with borrow an xp disk if you don't already have one, just don't use the dell restore disk.

I meant fit ok into my current case.I have a 300/350w powersupply that should be ok and i have a spare 250w.

i reckon i can sell my current ram for abit as its expensive to get and my graphics card can probably sell for £20-£25. Then i can sell the processor cheaply too.

Will my dvd drives fit ok? they are IDE.

Could you recommend me a processer/mobo and ram pls and ill search it up.

    Thanks reppd

most newer processors from amd and intel are about 20-30% quicker than the one in yours at same clock speed
another boost is given from a higher fsb so not sure if its a good idea to drop to a lower speed than your existing so consider this

pair this with an appropriate board, you didn't state whether u prefer mATX or full size ATX? but look at this
    ebuyer.com/pro…753
this mb has a decent on-board video solution which won't be far short of your existing card performance wise and would allow an upgrade later when you have more money
or go with the above intel chip u listed but i feel perform won't be that much better than your existing setup and remember to stick with a decent known brand mainboard ie gigabyte, asus, xfx
