Looking to get the LG G Pad 8.3 but prices have spiked up. Any ideas of if this one is likely to drop down again soon?

and if not if the Hudl 2 or Lenovo S8 would be better bets?

The Lenovo S8 is the tablet to buy in the £100-150 price range. No hands on experience of the G Pad though, but the S8 is sound.

Thanks, sounds like good advice. To me the Hudl 2 appears to have a better processor, but at the cost of physical sleekness.

I am thinking of holding out for the G Pad as it is leaps and bounds more form pleasing that competish in this field.

I haven't used any of the other tablets mentioned but I do have the LG G Pad 8.3 and I have to say I am very impressed by it, good screen, slim and very fast.

I don't usually see low prices for it though, so I am sorry that I am not of much help to you.

Can anyone fill me in on how the tablets stack up? Given the Lenovo being a lot newer, it looks like on spec reports its processor strips out the G Pad but a notable amount. Benchmarks have it 80th of all android devices, whilst the G Pad is in the 400 area (though that is ALL android devices and various iterations of their models counted) .

Can anyone tell me if there is any "grid dot" problem with the S8 screen or not? I typically favour LG products since i just got a G2 and i love their tellies, but it seems a little crazy going for something older with less cutting edge tech just because i like the chasis design and phone integration...

Thanks for this. It does look great.

Anyone got any other thoughts on the HUDL2 and Lenovo S8 as options over the Gpad?
