Looking to spend £300 on a laptop

    Hi everybody
My wife is wanting a laptop for Christmas...I can go up to £300 and no more!!!
I know she wouldn't use it for gaming...she would basically want to surf the net and store music/photos and use it for work occasionally (spreadsheets word pro etc) and a DVD RW would come in handy
Can anyone recommend anything at all?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

try dell outlet or get a refurbished/returned one from dixons ( put refurb in search)

dixons did have a 2gb 17" packard bell about 2 weeks ago for £299

yep we got a 2gb 160gb avent for £239 and a 17" still available today was £279-less the £10 discount for spending over £250! They are both really good..the first is gloss black and the 17" is black and silver. Look really good as well as good specs.
I ordered from Dixons but pcworld have the same-dont know if there are codes for them tho-but advantage if you dont like it you can return to a pcworld store, whereas Dixons have to collect it and send another..

Dell outlet stil have the offer till midnight of £55 off and free delivery. Its a good place to look. best bargains tend to show up late in the evening.
