Found 8th Aug 2011
Right, lost my glasses prescription and im trying to order glasses,

I remember clearly saying the optician saying im simply '-1 in both eyes'

However is this Sphere, Cylinder, Axis whatever that is confusing Glasses Direct.

Any help would be great.

Cheers!

Looks like im going to have to. complex stuff!
I used to be an optical asst. and if I remember correctly, it'd be -1.00 cyl. Axis is for astigmatism and gone completely blank on sphere.
Sorry, I meant sphere. If it's a basic prescription it would be -1.00 sphere. No cyl, no axis. Sorry!

Aww thanks for your help. gonna play it safe and check with opticians first!

Definately! I'm 3yrs out of practice now, and they say you never forget!
As long as your last sight test was under 2yrs ago, it's still valid!
Good luck with the new specs!
Might help if u take ur old glasses to optician nd he should be able to confirm
when i lost my new prescription the optition (specsavers) replaced it straight away
I can do a quick test for you now...
