I've just realized that I lost my phone.
I'm on holidays atm.
I've got the mobile insurance with lloyds. Do I need to contact the police today or when I'm back ?

I think you need to contact the police as soon as possible. That way, the bank will see that you were being proactive. Have you contacted your phone provider to get it blocked?

You don't say which country you are on holiday in

you need to contact the police in the country that your in and get a police reference number, usually with in 48 hours of realising youve lost the phone, trust me I found out the hard way

I'm in Poland. My holidays end Tuesday.

You have told the network so they can block it ?

yes / already blocked it with t-mobile

in that case then you need to report it stolen / lost to the police within 48 hours of reporting it to your mobile operator

an update on my case...
after submitting my claim, I've spoke to them over the phone
because I haven't provided proof of purchase with IMEI my claim is gonna by rejected!!
when I've registered my iphone 3gs back in March the guy said it won't matter that the phone has been bought on ebay!as long that I have a proof of purchase

WHAT A JOKE !

that's after paying them £350 in account fees! never claimed for over 3years!

yes i work for a bank that sells this with account. get police report asap. contact phone company and insurer if can. chk out ltsb website for number when abroad.

Mspychala. If it helps Lloyds have changed their phone insurance now so you don't have to register it. I just took out one of these accounts and they said i didnt need to register the phone but just let them know if I claim. Not sure if this would help in your case or not. Also a lost phone needs to be reported in 24 hours. Hope it works out for you.
