MacBook Pro and Google issue

Posted 15th Jun 2022 (Posted 3 h, 36 m ago)
Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this before and has any guidance on to solve it.

Partners MacBook had been reformatted and anytime we open Google we get this white line across the screen.

We cannot interact with the page but can continue to search via the address bar. Using bing works as expected. Just seems to be an issue with the Google domain.

I've reformatted the Mac a moment ago and hasn't fixed the issue. Not sure if it's a Google issue or our side.

thanks

Have you updated Safari and MacOS in the app store after the OS re-install?

Seems it's a compatibility issue with that version of Safari.

Thank you. I thought it had been updated to the most recent patch but seemed it was not.

    Have you tried other browsers?

Yes, I've tried Chrome and it does not do this.
We are looking to sell the macbook, so would need to solve the issue instead of using another browser. I'm lost to why only Google does this on Safari.
