    MacBook Pro or Air?

Looking to purchase one and just don't know what one to go with!

I'm studying digital media so will be used adobe suit all the time etc.

This is why I'm looking more at the pro for the retina display. But the pro is pricey

And make sure to get a minimum of 8GB RAM.

Pro all day, best purchase ever!
Deffo go for the highest RAM you can afford though, well worth it.

You do know Adobe products run just fine on a Windows machine too? (_;)

The pro has significantly more specs then the air which negate the additional cost. The ram, CPU, HDD all will provide better value and I believe are more customisable/upgradable than the air.

It also depends if you want the Pro with retina or the normal Pro: the additional screen definition might be of benefit to you. Don't forget, you can look to get discount on apple through sites like TopCashBack and also get a free 02 sim for priority moments for £50 off £750 spend. If you are a student, look at apple direct for student discount and possibly free AppleCare too. If you do buy AppleCare, buy all your items and accessories ( if buying screens, mice etc) and they all get covered under the one policy. :-)

O2 priority is at currys/PC world though. But the product is apple and you have to resist their sales of you must buy "x y z too". If you pay on credit card, try and use one that adds additional one year warranty ( some paid for current accounts do) and also gives you the protection as it's over £100 min spend.

You can also get adobe student discount too as a possiblity if you didn't know? . If at uni, try and look for the EPP apple higher education through your uni network for a bigger discount direct to apple website.

Thanks for the replies, really appreciate it!

Guess I will be going for the Pro (was probably my choice too). Will be getting the student discount through Unidays probably as won't be college during the summer to be able to buy through the network sadly.

How do you go about getting the free Apple Care when buying with student discount?

Pro. The Air is underspecced in comparison.
