    MAN BIKE

I finally got a new bike last summer. Only leisure cycling, warm evenings etc. No mountains or speed stuff!! Hubbie says his bike is no longer comfy to ride. Personally I think it is an excuse!

OK so maybe need to get a new one for him. He is 6ft 2inches. Don't want to spend a lot because not used too much. Anyone know if the cheaper bikes sold by the supermarkets would be big enough, or do we need to spend more because of his height?

Tall people can ride small bikes, it's just not as pleasurable or efficient.

What size frame is his current bike ?

What element of cycling on that bike is not comfy for him ? (as could make some suggestions before getting a new one..)

    Don't know info like that,

seems knees legs getting in the way, so not comfy

Have told him he has probably stopped growing by now............he's 55

The inisde leg is a more important measurement than his overall height from what I recall.

Rockhopper?! I may get one of those, been spending ages looking recently!

I actually got a hardrock two weeks ago but it was to big at 19" so I took it back and asked them to get me a rockhopper in a 17" I went for the basic one, I will just replace parts for better parts as and when things wear out or break.

I already have some dmr v8s for it that will be the first upgrade

Nice choice on the pedals!! Thinking of going for a rockhopper myself, let me know how you find it!

Tbh for the few days i had the cheaper hardrock disc I really enjoyed riding it but i am sure this will be much better.

V8's are fine but if you wont something better at a good price then MG1's are the way to go and I got mine from a chinese seller for £26 delivered.

PS...nice looking bike Toast....glad you got it all sorted.

Thanks Slamdunkin, and thanks for your help, I would have loved to have had the money for the pro, £1200 cough but just could not justify it
