Is it really wise to waste money on tools when you have no idea what they do? I'd leave the DIY to somebody else...

if you managed to see the links I posted before the mods deleted them then they will help

I bought one of them too, some parts are rather ambiguous aren't they. And Ross, I'm a gay woman therefore an expert in power tools...

Then perhaps you should look up what certain tools do before buying them.

Common sense.

I don't mind negative comments.
i left the army after 14yts with no qualifications, now in a qualified electrical engineer that fixes radiation detection equipment.
imagine if I'd have said, sorry i know nothing about it, best leave it to someone else.
trust me the euphoria of doing something new is unforgettable...

it's a multi tool, it comes with over 100 attachments - you don't need to know what every single on of them does to use it, need it or purchase it. He has bought it and is now asking what some bits are for, why did you even post?

I would look at what the dremel type accesories do on you tube

Ross
My wife and I bought a lovely old house and i'd never really done any DIY before, but I am a go to kind of guy. I was quoted £120 a door to be replaced in the house, 7 in total = £840. I did them all myself for £37 a door.
I fitted a new bathroom and tiled it. I have built shelving units from pallets (see photo below), not exactly gonna threaten IKEA but it works for us
I love new challenges....

You don't have to justify yourself, what I asked was a genuine question. I hold no ill feelings towards you, nor did I have any opinion of you before I made my comment. What I said was in reply to your original post which I thought was asking what thw tool you bought did.

I bought a Dremel years ago with 140 bits, had no idea what they did. However, over the years I have found a use for nearly all of them. Necessity is the mother of invention!
