Marks & Spencer final reductions policy “No refund or exchanges”?

I’ve just been in to a Marks & Spencer that has a clothing Final Reductions section. But my wife and I noticed that the people at the till were telling customers that there were “No exchanges or refunds” on final reduction items (ones with yellow price tickets on). I was very surprised by that as I always thought that M&S had a good customer friendly return policy. So this is just a heads up really just to let anyone know about this final reductions “No refunds or exchanges” policy before they buy anything from there.
