Q : How many socks dows one have to remove from the washing machine before guaranteeing a pair?

A : Well, for me this morning, the answer was "more than seven"

What on Earth is going on? What happens to socks in washing machines? Do they eat some and regurgitate the others changing the colours in the process???
????

Oh, for the purists out there the correct answer should be P+1 where P is the number of Pairs of Socks you put in the machine in the first place. However, I believe washing machines have the power to alter the fundamental laws of mathematics and should be regarded with great suspicion.

socks come in pairs?!?!?!
Hee Hee, i know the secret of the missing socks, as a mum of four and a playleader at a nursery i have a large wash content, but we also have a code of silence and if i told you the formula i would have to extinguish your flames.

"WE ARE ALL SOCKS IN THE DRAWER OF LIFE!"
Remove sock from the washing machine? That's my wife's responsibility.
All my socks are the same, so no matter which two I get they will be the same =)
