    McDonalds prices soaring

I do like a Big Mac meal now and again but it seems that every time I go to get one the price has shot up quite steeply. Previously a BMM was £3.29, next time it was something like £3.59 and yesterday I refused to pay £3.89. Over 60p in less than a year.

It is a much better deal going to KFC if you fancy a bit of fast food.

In an age when most retailers are doing a small bit for consumers in the credit crunch I think that McD's are taking the **** with their very steep price hikes.

Good for keeping the wight in check though.

    KFC? Are you mad?

I got 2x popcorn chicken meal (popcorn chicken + a pitiful amount of fries) + 2x tango ice blasts and it ended up at over £10!

You are right about maccyds, but kfc... no no no.

hang on a sec....u said no to a meal thats still under 4 quid?

    I only eat fish'o'fillet
I remember the days where you could get it in the happy meal.
Eat the food and burn the toy.
    The old days...

The only time I get this stuff is if I'm on a motorway, in which case I'm used to getting shafted, or if I have a serious case of the munchies in which case I don't care.

That's the price you pay for having a rubbish currency. I've started to ask to get paid in Yen.

no!! fish o fillet in happy meals?! serious!!

the toys arent that bad u know.

3.89, not aprob for me i get a free burger with my student card lol, kfc is disgusting is slimey crap and the fries are rubbish, i always go to BK its way more expensive (5.50 for a large whopper meal lol) but its soooooo much nicer than anything else the veg in the burger actually tastes fresh and its much nicer and the fries are better too i think

McD's food seems to be getting smaller and more expensive.

I actually quite like KFC, I think it's very good value getting a nice chicken burger, a chicken breast, coleslaw, chips and drink for only 60p more than McD's small burger, chips and drink.

Burger King is my prefered choice for burgers but Subway is prob my fave for value and health reasons compared to the other fastfood places.

i had one of them summer chicken supreme meals (large) and the cheese melts last week and it was over 6quid!!!

but youre happy to go to KFC :whistling: does KFC use actual chicken breast now :? ive only had it twice after both times i felt funny and had stomach cramps

I agree the meals seem to have gone up quickly - I queried the extra I was charged on a deli of the day meal the other week (usually £1.99 plus £1.30 to add coffee and fries). I think it was 50p, but the manager said the price had gone up but they hadn't changed the sign yet - bit naughty that.

Anyway, I often get a Happy Meal and ask for a latte - they charge around 30p more, but it is enough to fill me up for a while. I was told they dropped the price back to £1.99 because people stopped taking their kids. The £2.99 meal deal at Burger King is the best deal at the moment imo.

I like Subway but the swine flu thing is kind of putting me off places with open trays of food/salad sat out all day. Crazy, I know.

Price varies from store to store, in Newcastle centre the meals are 30 - 40p cheaper than in the town centre where I live (2 miles away). Happy meals are £2.49 in town as opposed to £1.95 in the city

lol, if the price is advertised as such they have to sell it at that, ive saved a few quids off subway cos they didnt take their signs down fast enough lol  i wouldnt worry aout swine flu from subway

i dont know about you guys, but I think portions are gettin a lot smaller since a few years ago.
The chicken from kfc especially - as if they starved the thing before they killed it.
