McDonald’s will reopen dine-in areas from tomorrow, Wednesday 22 July. They are reopening 700 of their restaurants with table service, with customers able to order directly to their table via the My McDonald’s App, at the till or kiosk. They have also confirmed they will be participating in the Chancellor’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme in August, giving 50% off food and drink (max £10) e.g. Big Mac £1.69
Social distancing measures will be in place and when arriving customers will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and follow the safety measures laid out in restaurants. McDonald’s will also be asking customers eating-in to leave contact details by using their smart phone to either scan a QR code taking them to a webpage or visiting that webpage directly with details provided on each table. You'll need to tell them the name of the lead member of the group and the number of people eating, a phone number, the date and time of your visit and the restaurant number (identified on each table sticker).
50% off food and drink next month
It also means people eating in branch can get 50% off food and drink up to £10 a head next month as part of the Chancellor’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme - operating on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August. Further details will be shared on the website and via the My McDonald’s app with which restaurants are taking part.
