I HAVE MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS & SON HAS TOPPER ON HIS MATTRESS, BEST IS TO GET A MATTRESS WHICH IS SPRUNG AND HAS A MEMORY FOAM TOP LAYER (DAUGHTER HAS THIS) AND IT IS BY FAR THE BETTER

we had a topper and never seemed to stay on mattress properly, always slipping down or to one side, took it of in the end ! i would go with mattress, although will cost quite a bit more !

I have a topper, and it does slip a little, but nothing major. Very comfortable, but very, very hot to sleep on.

ebay 12" mattress with 3" memory foam. cost me £140 delivered for kingsize

ordered another as it was so good

we bought ours from Snug best thing we ever did and got free pillows

This is the one we got

We've got a topper (kids too) - it does slip a bit but we couldn't sleep without them now.
