Mexico in September - yay or nay?

This is for our honeymoon. We are getting married at the end of August and would like to honeymoon in Riviera Maya mid september for 2 weeks.

Has anyone been to Mexico at this time of year? What was it like? Was it extremely humid?

Trying to figure out whether we should wait until November when the its a bit cooler/less humid.
    Cheers x

We went on honeymoon in early September 2009 and it was our best holiday ever.

Glad you enjoyed it markvirgo, it looks amazing there. How was the weather heat, humidity and rain wise?

As Mark has stated, we went away on our honeymoon in 09 and it truly was our best holiday ever. It is because of that holiday that I still love Mark to this very day, despite his receding hairline.

We were there mid September 08 for 2 weeks, stayed in Playacar. It was a bit humid, but not horrendous. My husband actually went out running a couple of times. We did catch the tail end of a hurricane during the last few days though and it just poured down solidly.
Thoroughly enjoyed it though. White sand, turquoise sea, palm trees; paradise!

When I went weather was great no storms apart from the ones we could see in the distance over the sea at night. I like it hot and it didn't disappoint.
