Michael Jackson O2 concert refund, how much is partially refunded?

I just wanted to know if anyone knows how much I would be partially refunded if I want a souvenir ticket, I can't get through to ticketmaster to ask them!

    Any help much appreciated, thanks!

nothing, the ticket money goes to charity

Correct - all details are here and I don't ever remember seeing/hearing anything about a partial refund so not
sure where you got that idea from:

Did you attempt to look online? It's all over their site.

On the ticketmaster site, it asks if you would like a full or partial refund

that's where I saw it too, it says:

    (Option 2 - Souvenir Ticket(s)/Partial Refund)

Please select from the boxes below if you would like to receive some or all of your booking as a souvenir ticket(s). I'm aware if I select to receive only part of my booking as a ticket(s) I will receive a partial refund. If you do not want this option please select n/a.

think that means if you bought 2+ tickets and only want one refunded and the others exchanged for tickets- that would be a partial refund

Looking at that page the way i see it is,

Partial Refund - would be for people who have brought 2 tickets or more but say only want one souvenir ticket & want the rest refunded hence why they are calling it a Partial Refund

I presumed it was to do with the £45/£75 ticket prices and it was only the cheaper price for the souvienir ticket so they refunded the difference?

I think you, mrfun1981 are right.

Surely we would have heard through the press etc if they were "selling" the souvenir tickets for a set price.

The option to receive one souvenir ticket and a refund on the remainder is the decision of the vendor - so in this case Ticketmaster are offering this option however eBay/Viagoo/Seatwave etc may have other options.

This is a valid point too as if that wasn't the case everyone would be paying different prices for the same ticket...

    Hmmm

    confused.com now!:?

have you actually got the tickets ?

I wonder how much it will be worth in a few years time? all depends upon whether refunded tickets are being destroyed or kept.

just like with the 20p coins, they are probably gonna be worth more if you keep them.

No one has received their tickets. All disclaimers at the time said they would be sent around 7 days before the date.

and I still have my dangerous tickets so maybe they will be worth something!

the partial refund means if you bought two and only want one refunded and want the other ticket to keep, you get your full price back for the ticket you want refunded including all fees but the one you keep will include all the fees you paid, i e service charge and postage

I've just read it and it says that if you want a full refund, it includes their booking fee and processing fee.
If you would like one of the souvenier tickets, you only get back the ticket price on the other ones and don't get your booking fees etc... back. That's what they mean by partial refund.... you pay £75.00 for a piece of cardboard and they get to keep your booking fees too. Ticketmaster are such a kind and loving company don't you think??????

sorry to above, typed a bit slower but we meant the same thing.

I agree its a total con, there will be so many tickets out there and therefore making the ticket not really a valuable collectors item. Having a quick look on ebay shows that the special lenticular tickets are selling at different prices, iv'e seen some go for around £68 and others go for around £190, not sure what to do with mine now :?

wot did u end up doing?

i'm filling in the refund form now but i'm confused... i originally bought 4 tickets
if i want to keep one ticket do they take the booking fee for all my tickets? (booking fee is £10 so thats £40)
or just the one ticket? (which would be £10)
or no booking fee taken so its only £75 for the ticket and all the rest is refunded?
