micro sd help

i got music on my laptop and want to put it on a sd card so i put the sd in usb adapter and plug it in my laptop then drag the music files in sd folder but then when trying to listen to music on mp3 player it says no file found. anyone know what im doin wrong?

Difficult to know with the info given but here's 2 ideas:
    1. Is the card too big for your player (some players can't read SDHC (i.e. >2GB) cards
    2. How is the card formatted. Your player might need FAT rather than FAT32 or other format. Try formatting again using FAT.

One last thing, can you see/read the files on the card whilst it is still in the PC? After you've copied them see if you can play them with media player.
    Hope that helps

    Two more...

Are you dragging shortcuts rather than the files?
music files are in a format you your player cannot read?

Check the manual of the player, some will require music files to be in a specific folder.
