    Micro sim on tmobile

Been looking into an iphone 4 and just wondering what tmobile do if you need a micro sim? I've seen how to cut a normal sim, but just wondering if it's easy to just ask for a new one, and how much they charge!

Thanks guys. Have a good evening!

Not in my experience, if its a new contract probably, but if its a replacement sim they *attempt* to charge you a tenner.

Chop up the old one, or stand your ground with the customer services if its the latter, don't pay for it, I have had 2 replacement sim's so far from them at no cost because I refused to pay for them.

    They cost £10

Ooh sounds tasty! Thanks, I'll try calling them and say I'm thinking about it and that I'm pricing it up! Heard o2 do it for free! Shame they don't all. Sub £300 for an iphone 4 is a tempter so £10 for a sim is manageable!

Yes, thats where I got mine - they'll transfer all the numbers from your old sim to the new one for you aswell :).

They give you a free replacement micro sim if you're getting the phone from them.

Ah so I could just go to the shop tomorrow, pay the £10 and go from there? Do they need to see the old sim? Basically can I try and cut mine, and if it messes up I can just go and ask them for an official micro sim? Is it ready to go once the numbers have been moved? Sorry too many questions!

Yes, just tell them you want a micro sim, they'll ask you for your phone number - then you'll need to confirm your account security details then they'll get it for you (I'm on contract, so if you are it will work the same way - not sure about payg). You don't have to buy the phone from them to get a microsim, I bought my iPhone from Apple and went to the tmobile shop straight after to ask them for a micro sim, which they supplied with no problems.

OK thanks, I'll try to pop into the store tomorrow Sounds quick and easy! And for £10 there's no mess up likely to happen. Just tried cutting up a sim and it didn't recognise it! Doh!

    10 quid!!? What a rip-off.

That's probably why I didn't get charged then. I took out sim only contract. They sent me a standard sim card, as I forgot to tell them it was for a iphone 4, so they sent me a micro sim too.
