Heres the formula : =DATEDIF(D2,NOW(),"y")

The formula works fine but i wana know how excel works out the age from the date of birth. I know a little like it divides it by 365 days i think well something along those lines.

well from your date of birth surely it would just do a super quick calculation of how many bdays youv had?

DATEDIF is the formulaD2 is the cell so i guess you have a DOB in this … DATEDIF is the formulaD2 is the cell so i guess you have a DOB in this cellNOW() is telling the system today's date so it can work out the difference between the date in cell D2 and today's dateY is the format to display the result.

thanks
