    Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anybody knows of a reliable source to download a copy of Office 2007 for windows? I have just bought a dell xps via a deal advertised on here (Thanks Mike!) but it does not come pre-installed....

I tried to download a version from Limewire but doesnt seem to work....any help or advice would be much appreciated! Thanks everyone!

you can always try the torrent sites ;-)
this is of coarse a back up copy of the one you already own, right

    >but it does not come pre-installed....

MS Office never does come pre-installed so I am not sure why you thought it would be.
(Or if it does come preinstalled you have to pay a lot extra for the PC or laptop)

If you DO want MS Office 2007 (and wish to stay legal) you can buy the Home and Student edition for around £80. This entitles you to put it on 3 PCs.

    amazon.co.uk/Mic…8-1

Or you can download OpenOffice for free (legally) from here

    openoffice.org/

Or if you have a child in school you can purchase a copy using their name and school name via

    software4students.co.uk/Def…spx

for between £35-£45 depending on which version you buy.

when looking for the back-up of the software you require look for the yellow edition as that is the one you have;-)

    openoffice for free?

    Ditto on the openoffice!!

many pcs/laptops now come with a 60 day trial of office 2007 or you could download a free trial ]here

If you're a student you can get the ultimate edition directly from microsoft for £39 ]here

Otherwise if you don't want to pay for it I'd just go for OpenOffice or it's derivatives (like ]Lotus Symphony). They're not quite as good but they're more than enough for most people.

    Albrown1...

This is the second post you've posted on here requesting people assist you with piracy. This is not a piracy forum.

Erm....I think you'll find that my previous post asked where I could find the cheapest version of F Manager - not sure that is advocating piracy? And also with a name like 'Anarchist' I would think you would be a little more of an insurgent....perhaps you should change your screen name.

    So what does that say?

Copy version you can 'take advantage' of?

    I couldn't possibly comment

rofl, I dunno, I've incited some anarchy there... shame it was something as pathetic as that outburst from a plain thief.

and calling someone a c*** (amongst other things) because they advised them that this is not a piracy forum isn't?

I'm locking this now as its drifted well off topic.
