Hi all,

I am due to fly from Gatwick to Milan on the 20th March. Our hotel is the Ramada Plaza.

Does anyone know the cheapest way to get from the airport MXP to the Ramada Plaza?

The taxi is over £100. There are 4 adults and 2 children.

Also is there a cheap tourist train pass available? We would be visit Lake Como & Venice by train during our 5 days trip.

Thanks!

I just put your details into Skyscanner.net and the cheapest option for your airport to hotel transfer was £40. You would still need to get a taxi the last 1.5 miles. Have a go yourself and see the other options. A private minibus was £72.

Thankyou, I didn’t realise skyscanner had this option!
Airport to Milan Centrale Train Station

We did this. Quite a nice journey really and they leave the airport like every five minutes.

When you arrive at Milan Centrale station, walk inside an get the Metro to your hotel stop.

Thankyou!
book your train tickets in advance to como san giovanni. You'll be shocked at how fast, clean and cheap they are compared to here

eg. milan - como £7 first class return (37 minutes 40 miles)

milan - venice £22 first class return (2 hours 17 minutes 200 miles)

prices nearer the departure date will be double / triple the above prices

Thankyou! Do you think it’s worth getting a travel card for our 5 days? I think I saw it was about £60 per person.

depends what it covers. I highly doubt it covers national rail like italo & trenitalia. probably just a milan card.
