    Milan travel question

Has anybody flown to Milan Bergamo?

I am there for the weekend for the Milan derby - any reputable transfer companies from the airport?

    cheers!

    Hi,
I was there 2 weeks ago. There are many bus companies just outside the airport charging €5 one way to the city. You can take any to the Central Station (where I went) and make your way accordingly. Some bus companies charge more €8 but they all provide same service in almost similar buses. Check the earliest departure and take your pick. I didn't mind waiting 10 minutes for the cheaper outbound but paid additional for the return bus as was getting late for the flight.

    Nice one thanks,

Any recommendations whilst there? Never been and doesn't seem overly touristy.

Hi there, have you tried the Hoppa site for a quote? We have used this company in Spain, Turkey and Mexico and basically use them for our transfers every year that we go on holiday. They are doing a 20% airport transfer discount just now I'm sure. You could check it out for a quote and see what it comes up at, just means you are straight out of the airport and they are there to collect you. You can also book your return at the same time so you are organised for coming home. Have a nice time!

    £101 on Hoppa

We were in Milan in April.

We flew into Linate so I can't help you with airport info.

But, if you want to do a few sights, then you need to see the Duomo. It's spectacular and there is an amazing shopping centre just off the plaza. We went fairly last-minute and couldn't get tickets to see Da Vinci's Last Supper. You can try their website or queue on the day for cancellations, but from memory they only allow 15 people in at a time and only then for 10 minutes or so. We walked around the Sforza Castle, which was spectacular and there is plenty of history/information for you to read.

We stayed at the Hilton just a short walk from Central station. Milan is super easy to get around, there are metros and trams which you can hop on/off for next to nothing or buy a ticket to cover your stay.

Food is amazing. Honestly it's delicious. Even if you just stop for a cool beer you'll get a slice of focaccia or something similar.
