I thought it was strange that they had none for my online delivery - and that was from Sainsburys

Maybe the cows have all frozen solid in the fields!

I have just managed to get some from Sainsbury's but all they have left is the orange lid / 1% fat.

Perhaps the snow is holding up the transit of the milk in bulk. I understand its a lot of these larger lorries and things getting caught up in the mayhem.

times are hard ...

OH has just been to our co-op they have loadsa milk

cows are on illegal strike - havent you heard, milk companies want to use Italian cows.

We just having bread supply issues up here in inverness, north scotland

oh and also - supplys for work are having probs getting up to us!! surgeons are NOT amused... (what do they want US to do... drive down south with cars full of salt/grit and pave the way for the vans of our stuff we need????) :whistling::thumbsup:

re: bread
a colleague said this is how she deals with stale bread. she soaks it in water a little then microwave, then puts it in the oven and it comes out like new bread.

i cant test this out as we have no microwave so if someone does try this, will you let me know if it works?

kippy - I don't even have one slice left here!

And I'm a bit OTT with sell by dates etc, and nothing is ever used after it due to me getting severe food poisoning 11 yrs ago that left me hospitalised for over a week. I'm a bit paranoid now ;-) . So even if I had bread I'd not be trying it hehe.

i'll have to watch my colleague (who just found out she's gluten intolerant LOL) do it and present it before our eyes.
