Anyone know what the lowest priced sub you can get from sky in order to keep the sk+ function of your sky box?

Sky+ is free, the only thing that has an additional subscription is if you want the HD pack, which is £10 a month...

Are you sure? I've always understood it that if you cancel your sky sub, the sky+ function of the box won't work?

I know you don't actually pay a sub for it

my sky+ dosent work since i cancelled?

You can't use sky+ with Freesat, you need a subscription, I think the cheapest is £11/month or something like that, might be some topcashback or phone them and ask for a deal.

SuperEd

as above you have to pay around £10 PCM for sky+ features (recording)

Oh no its not!

Its £10pm without a sub for use of Sky+ recording.

I'm guessing the answer will be the minimum sub they have (about £15?) - unless you manage to get a deal out of them!

I was going to chuck it all in, but they gave me a free HD box, free install (LOL.. I even blagged a free Oct LNB out of the installed!), not HD sub and half price for all channels (inc film and sport) about £24pm I think!

Mr Potatohead might be able to help you out..... he sorted the same deal as above for my Dad...... but if you took the basic... that'd be £7.50pm!

Yeah i think i'm still giving them about £17 a month at the moment but i'd get rid of the lot, becasue as you know i've got a couple of dreamboxes, but the wife insists she wants the sky+ function.

Did you already have sky to get a new deal guv?

LOL.. pretty much the same for me. It is useful, though tbh, I'd have just stuck with my TiVo had the drive not died. (Lifetime sub too!)

Yeh, I did have a sub. Long story short. I rang to cancel "to go for Freesat HD". Got offered basic. for half price for six months. I said Id think about it. When I rang back, they'd moved the goalposts so I emailed their CS to moan. Didnt even get a reply.

So I went on saynoto0870 to get a number and saw an email addy for their Chief Exec which I had a fired off the original email as well as suggesting they needed to act quickly to keep me. I had a call within 30 minutes on a Saturday Afternoon! She called me back as promised on Monday morning and made me the offer.

As it happened they messed up the first months bill...... and ended up paying full price (ie double what it should have been - without the HD sub. So I even got a goodwill month free as well! Love it when it all works so well!

That's the same guy I emailed when my original hd box had problems, read up on the problem and found a huge thread on av forums which gave this guys email address, next day I had a phone call and a call was arranged to fit a brand new box, seems like he's the guy to contact when you need something done, I'll give them a call and go down the cancellation route

Whoops, mis-read the question, I thought it was asking what the subscription cost was for sky+...

there is a variety pack which costs £18, looks like the basic Sky package which should enable Sky+
But just check prior to oredering
