Missing Channels on Freeview

Found 26th Aug 2016
Hi just wondered if somebody could tell me why the following happens. I have a Toshiba TV which has, for example, Channel 67. My other Toshiba TV does not have Channel 67, however if I use the hard disc recorder which is connected to the second TV I can get Channel 67. Both televisions and hard disc recorder have been retuned, does anybody know why some channels do not show up on one of the TV's. Thanks

poor internal wiring or damaged coax connector?
Forgot to say that there are two Toshiba TV's that have the missing channels and one that has all of the channels.
Could be that the one with the hard disc recorder have a booster in it, so its picking it up that way .
Channel 67 (CBS Reality + 1) is a DVB-T2 channel on the com7 multiplex.

It could be that the TVs only handle DVB-T channels and not the newer DVB-T2 channels. The latter is also used for all HD channels so if you don't get them then that would be a good bet.

com7 is typically one of the lower power multiplexes so it can be a weaker signal in a lot of places. If your box is better at handling weak signals then it could be picking it up where the TVs fail.

com7 is also broadcast at a fairly low frequency, UHF channel 31 or 33 (unrelated to TV channel numbers). If your antenna is optimised for the higher frequencies that many transmitters used to use before they were given to the 4G mobile network then that will also contribute to a weak signal.
The complete set of non-HD channels that are only available on HD are:
45 Film4 +1 (on PSB3 ... the "BBC HD" multiplex)
55 5star +1 (on COM8)
56 5USA +1 (on COM7....)
57 Viva
67 CBS Reality +1
71 CBS Drama
77 Rishtey
81 Talking Pictures
82 Vintage
86 Viva +1
87 Keep it Country
88 The Craft Channel (on COM8, placeholder)
Many thanks for your replies you have been very helpful. Thanks again
