Mobile Broadband Pay As You Go - No Expiry?

Does anyone know if mobile broadband pay as you go dongles (with no expiry date) exist anymore? I have trawled through the internet and it looks like a no, but loads of forums tell me that vodafone did last year. I think its a con to go on 'pay as you go' but lose your credit after 30 days. Was looking as a xmas present for my folks as they are very rare internet users. Was hoping someone would know if they still exist somewhere or if there were any plans to bring out some more this year?

Brill. Thanks for you help

Another option is 3 have started doing a 'pay daily' deal so if only very light users this could be an option for them , although i dont know if it works out costly doing it this way .
