the processor i am going to upgrade to is AMD X2 6000

to upgrade to that i will need to update bios to 2.10 (current bios is 1.10)

I'd think that if your mobo allows boot from USB device then you;d be able to boot it from the USB drive (assuming you've already created the boot files on it) then run the bios updates from DOS once its booted up to the command prompt?

You'd need to set your bios to boot from USB as primary boot device
Create the boot disc on the USB drive
copy your bios update files to the usb drive
then boot the pc using the usb and run bios update files from the dos command?

There may be a different method but thats the only one I know. Cheers.

Most current mobo's support Bios update via Windows.

It looks like yours supports this ......just update via Windows................. the file is on the site which is here : !

I wouldn't have thought so .....otherwise why would the actual manufacturer of the mobo have the file on their site in the 1st place ??

I think it's more likely they have Windows version if ur running Windows and a DOS version if your not running Windows at all .....eg. any other operating system !
