Mole Clinic at Superdrug - AVOID!!!!!!
I recently saw an episode of the one show and Denise Van Outen was on it, she mentioned she had been to the Mole Clinic (situated in Superdrug stores across the country) to check out her moles. So I looked into this via the internet prices etc (cost me £95) and thought it looked worth the money if I got all my moles individually looked out for any dodgy ones. What a MISTAKE! The girl spent less than 5 minutes looking at my whole body and literally glanced at my moles for less than a second (and I have got 100+ moles). She then spent 20 minutes (in-between popping to the toilet) filling in some worthless report, 3 of which were exactly the same and the fourth had just one extra sentence all were computer generated and she just had to fill in one box with a few words for me to take to my GP for him to look at them all again and then refer me if needed to the hospital!
All in all it was a total waste of my time and cost alot of money and in end I had to go to my GP anyway.
If anyone is thinking of doing this I would definitely say don't waste your money just go to your GP and let him know your concerns as ultimately you will have to do that anyway and you'll save yourself alot of money and wasted time.

Speak to trading standars or something
Like i said in OP it looks really professional etc but it's a right rip off, just go straight to your GP, as that's where they'll just send you anyway.
Dont be afraid of the removal procedure, it is quick and relatively painless and dealt with by an out patient appointment at the hospital, scarring is very minimal too, especially when compared with the consequences of not having them seen to.
Good advice.
I've also had 3 removed as well and it didnt hurt abit. Since going to my GP last week and then getting referred to the hospital, (Monday) i've now been Mole Mapped where they take photo's of the areas of concern so a comparison can be made.
The ABCD rule
If you notice any of the following signs, then see your doctor without delay.
Asymmetry
The two halves of your mole do not look the same.
Border
The edges of your mole are irregular, blurred or jagged.
Colour
The colour of your mole is uneven, with more than one shade.
Diameter
Your mole is wider than 6mm in diameter (the size of a pencil eraser).
Ive done this myself so as I can compare any changes I think may be there, although thankfully its always been a false call since my last three, dont bother looking after a hot shower or if you are hot or cold as this can effect colourings, check under standard conditions.
Hopefully some people will read this and now be more aware of what to look for and how important it is to monitor your moles. My Dad's mate found out he had skin cancer and within a year he was dead, thats how quick this thing gets you if you don't catch it soon enough. Sorry for being a scare monger!
So get your moles checked out. Especially the blokes, cos i know what we're like - leaving it to the last minute, don't want the hassle of going to the GP blar blar blar.
Remember - YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE ;-)
If he's got anything about him he'll not only refund your money, but also do something about the service.
Agreed!

It says on their website that Jeremy Siegal is the MD, might be safer to address it as above though.
They prob just read up on internet and the salepeople are just nothing more than that.
OMG,I can't believe it.
Anyway if some people who were considering going there and no don't that makes me feel better anyway
Had skin tags zapped with liquid nitrogen spray.
If in doubt, get it checked - especially guys - you know we don't like to but it makes sense.
Medics would rather see you with nothing than later when nothing can be done.
I went to Yeovil last year, and the lady spent a great deal of time examining each of my moles (and I have quite a few). I felt I received a very good service, and felt confident in her ability to examine me properly.
The original poster obviously had an unsatisfactory experience, but please don't conclude that all Superdrug mole clinics are the same.
I have been to The Mole Clinic at Superdrug and found it to be an invaluable service! I went to my GP about my moles but felt that I was some what fobbed off. I was walking past Superdrug in Exeter and noticed an advert for The Mole Clinic, so I made an appointment. I found the nurse to be totally professional, she was informative and knowledgeable, she explained everything very clearly and gave me good advice. She took a photo of one of my moles after she had done a complete mole check. I received the results the very next day and a few weeks later had the mole removed by a dermatologist. I would recommend this service to anyone!
Hmm..........u don't happen to work for Superdrug do u?? :-D
i guess im just paranoid.....now that i had one taken off im even more paranoid!! :w00t:
I was thinking the same :whistling:
My girlfriend had one removed from her back after i noticed it had changed. She has about an inch size scar now but the sample came back negative. She's now noticed another mole has changed but it's a lot smaller so the scar should be tiny. She has hundreds of moles and very fair skin. She insists on sun bathing day in day out on holiday she never goes brown. Winds me up non stop. She spent a year in the south of france and got a hint of a tan. I was there 3 days and looked like i had been on a 2 week holiday.
she should definately get to her doctor - buy her some suncream as a pressie!
No, I definitely don't work for Superdrug. I just get irritated when an unbalanced view is being presented.
That's also why I can't stand watching Watchdog on BBC1!
One is small, light brown and has a black dot in the centre.
The other is quite large and pink around the top.
Would you be concerned?
