    MONEY

    Good morning,

My Grandad used to write weekly poems, short stories to the telegraph in the
70's/ 80's. This one made the Target in October 13th 1983.
    ..I hope I
haven't spoilt it by changing a couple of his Geordie Accent (nivver or the,
    in't).

    Money.
There's many things that money can't buy,
like stars in heaven or the sun in the sky,
or even if we were showered with wealth,
would never be able to buy good health
    or Love,I mean Real Love
or expect favours from him above
Money won't stop us from from growing old,
and even if we had pots of gold,
and shoved it in some religious chest,
we would still die just like the rest,
Money, why it's just one bloomin' big curse
Still its nice to have some in your purse!
