In the news this morning that Morrison's will not raise their petrol prices by 2p until the 6th September.

So, no worries about running to fill up tonight trying to save that extra bit of dosh. Plus, mixed with the other deal with spending £40 in store collecting 5pence off each litre, thats a total saving of 7pence a litre compared elsewhere.

That's big of them. I'll save a whopping £1.20 on a full tank.

Yupp. What will you spend your £1.20 on then? I might spend mine on a lottery ticket...

I'd sooner burn the money than buy their fuel.

Probably cost more getting to Morrisons

Not for me. Same distance to sainsburys, jet, BP and Asda garage from my house.

Oh yeah go Morrisons!! If they only hadnt let there prices creep up and up then this would be a fantastic deal!!

How kind of them(!).....

How is this a deal ? :?

The difference here is that they are not actually cutting the price.

and their fuel is sh1te.

I don't really understand using supermarket fuel when many of the mainstream retailers are the same price or cheaper.

Where I live Shell is keeping ASDA honest.

Morrisons seem to be on a one-company crusade to prove the whole supermarket-fuel-is-crap rumours.

Generally there is nothing in it these days - happy with supermarket or branded fuel, but if I buy my fuel from Morrisons, my car runs like ****. Every time.

Besides, morrisons can't even price match the total garage opposite in my town - its pathetic. Total also matching morrisons this morning (and not increasing their price). Thats where I'll be heading tonight.

Shell have suddenly become really good at price matching. Sometimes even their motorway services prices are not totally crazy.

Shame BP still think they can get away with charging 3p a litre more than the rest.

Wait until the others raise their prices then post it as a deal.

Personally I hate the petrol price threads (mainly because some supermarket chains eg Tesco and Morrisons vary their prices to keep in line with local garages) but others on here love them.

Me too. Purely because it reminds me of how much we mugs are taken for a ride in this country.

Everyone should just buy super. The extra economy it gives outweighs the 4 or 5 p per litre extra it costs AND it's better for your car AND it improves performance. Tesco have the best one (99RON). We'd all save money, and the more of us that buy it, the cheaper it will get. We should start a campaign for making super the standard petrol!
