morrisons dry cured ham joint , just eaten, now found cooking instuctions on packet ?

I've just bought a joint of Morrison's cured ham with a cola and whisky sauce. Several of us have now eaten a sandwich of it and I have just noticed there is cooking instuctions on the packet. It says to cook for an hour and a half at 175? The ham is already cured so why cook it and why for so long. Are we going to die lol

Just because it says "dry cured" doesn't mean it doesn't need to be cooked. Morrisons sell dry cured bacon, I would suggest you cook that before eating it too

Yes get yourselves checked out but I doubt you will die or get really sick
You may throw up several times so drink plenty of water, but that's about the worst.
The germs are mainly on the surface ( dry curing and sealing reduces them to safer levels) and symptoms are seen quite quickly

I ate raw bacon as a kid when I was told to make a ham sandwich. Tummy ache that evening but I lived to tell the tale lol in fact my family never let me forget it so good luck with that side of if in coming years too lol

I ate raw peppered steak once & was fine.

If you get away with pork then you guys are lucky. I cut my finger whilst cutting raw pork once & was on antibiotics for a month after.

It tasted and looked like ham, the details on Morrison's website says ita cooked also . Curiously it didn't taste as good once the packet instructions were followed and it was cooked
