i get eaten alive when i go abroad, i take vitB1 and antihistamines (14 days before going and whilst away) and this helps, i tend to use the sprays or roll on repellants

Make sure you get something which contains DEET ... the more % the better.

Lemon juice & vinegar work too.

    (although smelly ! )

At the moment it is £2.50.

Our special formula oil is a convenient spray.

Use after a bath or shower to lock in moisture.

    Non-greasy and quickly absorbed.

A light spray leaves skin silky smooth.

Perfect for your holidays - slip it into your suitcase to stay soft. 150ml.

25p will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer via Breakthrough Promotions Ltd., which donates all it's profits to Breakthrough Breast Cancer via the Gift Aid Scheme. Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a registered charity in England, Wales (No: 1062636) and Scotland (No: SC039058).

It is a spray oil, the main ingredients in it are:

Mineral Oil, Isopropyl palmitate, Dicapryl Adipate, Fragrance, Dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate, BHT, lanolin alcohol, D&C yellow no.11, D&C red no. 17.

Not sure if that is any use, it smells ok, i sold 4 bottles last month.

I personally havent tried it, does your OH take antihistimines? i react badly to the bits and these do help control how bad the bites get, i tried the vitb1 and antihistimines when i went to venice years ago, i was really worried due to the dampness and my other holidays 9usually off plane straight to doctors)

when i arrived in venice and went to the boat the decks where smothered in mozzies and that was in the day, and i just though what a mess im going to be in when i get back to the uk, thankfully i only got the odd bite, and now whenever i go abroad i always take vitB1 and antihistamines, i wont say i dont get botten because i do but it is nothing compared to what it used to be like, i dont fear going abroad now

maybe worth a read here about click, although i wouldnt use anything on my bites due to a bad reaction on a holiday to greece, recommended by a doctor there, i put this stuff on the bites (some kind of amonia i think) you have never seen anything like it, when back in england my gp was disgusted that i had been able to purchase this over the counter, although he never actually told me what it was, so now i dont use anything and try to be careful about scratching
