anyone know any good deals on Mountain bikes?

I am looking for an adult bike , with hydraulic disc brakes, front suspension, and an alloy frame.

I want to spend as little as possible; would like to keep it around £200, but want a max of £350.

My company is in the process of registering for the Cycle Scheme so I might be able to save a bit there.

The Cycle Scheme is an excellent idea - but be careful. Our one at work is limited to Halfords only - yes they do source bikes from other places - but this can sometimes work out more expensive than buying direct. You are saving on tax - so in the end, depending on salary, this could amount to saving a fair bit.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I have currently not decided which scheme to sign up to. I have realised that there can be so many. I want to find out what the best schemes offer before signing my company up to the best one...anyone know which one is best?

I was under the impression that when you signed up you could use any retailers that had the cycle to work scheme set up. Maybe scottsann's workplace had a deal with halfords for discounts if they bought from them.
hit this link and then put your postcode and see what stores are signed up.

don't go with halfords. They dont stock the best of bikes or accessories.
I noticed evanscycles wasnt on the map but they do the scheme. Will be hard pushed to get good bikes at a lower price than there. If you do they will price match.

There are several different schemes offering the same tax efficient savings offered by the government. Cyclescheme is one of the more popular ones and has a large number of retailers on board, giving people a wide range of choice. I got a bike through this particular scheme from a small local bike shop and had no problems at all.

Other examples include cyclesolutions, bike for all and cycle 2work from Halfords. If you were signing your company up I would choose a scheme that gives choice and avoid schemes that limit you to one company.

I bought this bike 1 month ago. Can highly recommend it. For the price the specs are fantastic.

My wife is employed by a company signed up for this scheme. She doesn't need a bike, but out children do.

Can she buy a childs bike under this scheme?
