    Mountain bike. Budget of £400.

As the title suggests am looking for a mountain bike. Must have disc brakes and good spec. Only used really for riding to work. Could possibly stretch to £450.
    Thank you.

Thank you but am after something with quite good specifications.

I have an as new specialized hardrock pro in grey. It is about 1 year old and hardly used. It has mechanical disc brakes (front & back) Cost £600. It is a 17" frame so good up to 6 foot

do you work at the top of a mountain??

seems like a lot to spend simply for getting to work, and a mountain bike would seem to be completely the wrong type of bike

Buy a good bike & it will last you years whereas a chap tatty bike will fall to bits.
Ive got a Marin pine mountain & the thing is solid as a rock, in my experience its better to pay for a bit of quality as it will also save you money in the long run.

Wiggle.co.uk have a sale on at the moment maybe worth a browse
